Question:
Between the Fogatti furnaces FG55FR, FG45FR, and FG65FR, which one would be easiest to install in place of my old Atwood DFMD35121 in a Keystone Cougar?
asked by: Harvey
Expert Reply:
Harvey, your old DFMD35121 was part of Atwood’s 35k BTU line, so the Fogatti furnaces are right in that same output range. Dimensionally, they’re close enough that the install should be straightforward, with only minor trim adjustments depending on your cutout.
If your current furnace has no door, go with # FG55FR. This will use the same vent layout so no worries there. If it has a black door, choose # FG45FR if it has a white one, go with # FG65FR.
Do you still have the original door on your Cougar, or has it already been modified? That’ll make the choice clearer.
