Question:
Hello, I am trying to size the correct pre-greased hub kit for my trailer and hope you can help. The trailer is. 1976 Dilly trailer. The wheels are 8 inch, 4 bolts and have bearings L44643. The spindle is a 1” diameter, 3.5” long shaft with 3/4” threaded end that is 1” long. There is a 1.25” shoulder at the other end of the 1” shaft. I do have a diagram if that helps. Thank you.

Hey Amy, thanks for all of the information. It sounds like your trailer has a BT8 Spindle, which uses a 1" diameter item # L44643 inner and outer bearing. The Trailer Idler Hub Assembly item # AKIHUB-440-2-1K you were looking at is exactly what you need. It has a 4 on 4 lug pattern and the inside space within the hub from the outside edges of the two races is 3-1/4". This is a pre-greased hub that comes ready to be installed on your trailer.
What happened to your trailer's hub?
