I just bought a 2025 jeep wrangler jl 4 door. I need a base plate for my blue ox tow bar. I left old one on my 2008 wrangler. I would like to know if you have something little more hidden than the one I had on my 08. It went across front from frame to frame. Also needs to be able to mount the 7way cord plug. Thanks

Hi John!
We have the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX1139 for your 2025 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL, but it will install the same way as the one on your '08 model (see first included picture). The only way to get away from that would be if you had the off-road bumper that had D-Rings ( # BX88357 for 7/8" or # BX88358 for 1").
The # BX1139 does also include attachment points for the wiring plug and a break away switch, so I guess there is that.
If you don't mind going with a Roadmaster option, you could go with the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521453-5. You would also need the Blue Ox Tow Bar Adapter Brackets for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates # BX88185 to adapt your Blue Ox tow bars to fit though. The Roadmaster base plate does come with a mounting bracket/plate to mount the wiring plug as well (see second included picture).

Hi John, Did you decide to go with the Blue Ox or the Roadmaster base plate for your Jeep? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, as it could help others looking for a similar setup.
