Question:
Will this actuator handle a tandem axle setup with Kodiak disc brakes? thank you, Belinda
asked by: Belinda
Expert Reply:
Yes it will, Belinda. As long as your total loaded trailer weight stays under 7,500 lbs, the DA75 Demco Disc Brake Actuator # DM33CV can absolutely support tandem axle disc brakes.
Just make sure the brake lines and calipers are in good condition, and consider a reverse lockout if you back up often. I would definitely add the Demco Manual Lock Out Kit # DM93CV so that you can backup with the brakes locking up.
Also, our customers have had very good luck using the Demco hydraulic actuators with the Kodiak brakes; those are solid!
