Are Additional Parts Needed for Demco Air Force One Installation on Motorhome

Updated 08/15/2025 | Published 07/16/2025

Question:

I have a customer with a Rv that wants to flat tow his maverick. It has the seven round and the hitch. What else do we need on the RV side of the install. We were looking at installing the Air force one flat tow brake system. If we need to we can go with something else like one that stops when it feels the vehicle stop manually and eliminate the Air force one. Where do we go from here?

Since you already have the hitch and the 7-way you're set. The Demco Air Force One # SM99243 and # DM26VR (with wireless monitor) come with the parts needed for the RV side as well as the vehicle side. Assuming it has air brakes this is the best option and what I would recommend for a supplemental brake system. This system will apply the towed car's brakes proportionally to match the RV.

Hey, did you decide to go with the Demco Air Force One system for your RV with air brakes? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, as it might help others in a similar situation.
