Are All 3,500 lb Axle Hub/Drums Interchangeable

Question:

Have very old livestock trailer with 3500 axles. Need to replace hubs due to threaded holes stripped. No way to know make of axle. Are all hubs interchangeable.

Hey Robert, do you know about how old the axle of the trailer is? If it's from around the late 90's till now yes the 3,500 lb axles all have interchangeable hubs and the part # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K would but but if older than that it's not the case.

Trailer is 1974. 51 years old. Maybe not worth the cost.

@Bobc Yeah the current hub drums aren't going to fit unless the axle was replaced within past 25 years or so. In this situation typically it's best to replace the axle altogether.
