Good question, Michael!

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch # 75691 is listed as a Class IV as it has a 12,000 pound towing weight and 1,200 pound tongue weight rating when using weight distribution, which is typically the max for a Class IV. Class III hitches will typically have a maximum of 8,000 pound towing and 800 pound tongue weight rating when using weight distribution. So this is indeed a Class IV hitch.

Is this going onto a 2014 Ford F-150? This will fit that truck as long as it does not have a factory hitch installed and will max out the truck's capacities (which is 11,300 pounds depending on engine, axle ratio, wheels base, &c), so it is a good option. Speaking of which, what are looking to use the hitch for?

Hey Michael, Did you decide to go with the Draw-Tite hitch for your Ford F-150? I'm curious to know how it worked out for your towing needs, as it could help others considering a similar setup.
