Looking For An 18k BTU Upgrade For My Coleman Mach 3 Unit On My Travel Trailer
Updated 09/09/2025 | Published 06/07/2025 >
Question:
I want to upgrade my Coleman Mach 3 model number 48253-066 on my 36ft travel trailer with a furrion chill cube 18k unit I know I will need a ducted unit but I was unsure of what else I would need to replace it I’m assuming a new thermostat for the wall and maybe a new air distribution panel We live in South Georgia and the 13k unit won’t keep up on a mid 80s day so we are worried about being able to go camping when it’s high 90s

Hey Cameron,
We do not have a unit that will replace just the Coleman Mach 3 unit and work with your system. What I recommend doing is going with the Furrion 18k btu kit # FR69TD. This kit comes with the 18k btu unit like you mentioned along with the distribution box and a remote control thermostat. This system is a great upgrade option and is going to work great on cooling down your trailer during those higher temperature days.
What kind of trailer do you have this unit on?
