No, there are no serial numbers on the Roadmaster High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars - 2" Hitches item # RM-048-4.

I actually bought this adapter. I have had a problem with a Blue Ox towing system on my Ford Maverick, the nature of which is not clear presently, as I am to have the situation investigated by the installer next week. The base plate is not visible under the bumper cover, but something has deformed on the left side, deviating outward. I am pursuing a claim with Blue Ox, and part of the information they asked for was the serial number of the adapter. I guess some adapters have serial numbers.

@Frank They might mean part number, which is 048-4. That's the only other thing I could think of. Roadmaster has it listed under PAR-048 on their website. The -4 added to it shows that it has a 4" rise/drop.
