Trailer Jack Replacement for a Dalton Bolt-On 1.5K Swivel Jack

Updated 09/12/2025 | Published 05/19/2025

Question:

I have a Dalton bolt-on trailer swivel jack I need to replace and looking for advice on the length to buy to replace this unit. The existing one measures 19.5” long from top to bottom where it extends, not to the bottom of the wheels. The current one has dual wheels and is 1500lbs. It is for my utility trailer. I am not looking to go any longer and even possibly a tad bit shorter. Can you please give me suggestions on the length? I am having a hard time understanding the sizing. Thank you in advance.

Hey Tyson, thanks for reaching out!

I recommend checking out the 1.5K etrailer Boat Trailer Jack w/ 2 Wheels # MJ-1500B-DWL which measures 12-5/8" from the center of the mounting bracket to the bottom of the wheels when retracted and 23" from those same spots when extended.

I know you only measured the jack itself, but when looking for a replacement jack, you want to compare the amount of lift and height you get as opposed to the exact dimensions when it comes to the body of the jack.

Let me know if you measure something a bit different for your Dalton jack and I'll be happy to see if we have a trailer jack that better matches your specs!

Hey Tyson, did the etrailer Boat Trailer Jack work out for your utility trailer? I'm asking because your experience could help others who are also looking to replace their trailer jacks.
