Question:
After how long do I need to replace my tires? I have had my ForestRiver Sandpiper since 2022. The date on the tires is 1121.

Hello Wade, good question. Trailer tires are pretty durable, and generally they will need to be replaced due to age rather than getting worn down. Generally, trailer tires should be replaced every 5-6 years regardless of mileage and use.
The sun is a tires worst enemy, so storing your trailer outside where the tires are exposed to the sun all day may certainly shorten their lifespan by leading to cracks or dry rot. I suggest checking for any fine cracks on the tire sidewalls that would indicate the need for them to be replaced. If the trailer is stored in a year-round hot climate, I strongly recommend using tire covers to protect the tires from the sun.
If your tires are still looking good and do not have any cracks or excessive wear, you can probably get another season or two out of them. If there are visible cracks or flat spots I do suggest replacing them.
What size tires are you running with? Let me know and I am happy to make a recommendation for new ones.
