Can Solera Smart Arm RV Awning Replace Manual Awning of Trailer

Hello I am looking at purchasing the new solar 12 V awning currently I have the OE style awning manual currently.will this new style automatic awning bolt to my fiberglass in my camper if it had a manual awning originally. 2008 cougar figth wheel Solera Smart Arm 12V Power RV Awning - 20 Wide -

Hey Luke, yes the Solera Smart Arm RV Awning kit part # LC405523 can replace the manual awning you have currently. This will give you a powered, programmable awning that uses your campers 12 volt battery as a power source.

james the awning i was talking about in my original email was soloar powered, remote control..... also in the event of no sun, you can plug it into shore power and it will operate... i don't think it had anything to do with 12 volt power. i would not want to run wires inside the camper. let me know what you find out. 12 ft long, aslo. 712 326 5615 luke

@Luke A better option might be the Solera 18V Power Awning part # LC730523 which uses rechargeable batteries that store in the arms of the awning. You wouldn't need to wire at all to the RV battery with this.
