Is There a U-Bolt that Can Be Used with CE Smith Offset Spool Roller Assembly

Updated 05/13/2025 | Published 05/11/2025

Question:

Hello - I have a CE Smith Offset Spool Roller Assembly for Boat Trailers - Galvanized Steel w/ Black Rubber - 4 Part Number: CE32110G sitting in my cart. I need square galvanized u-bolts that will work with it on a 2x3 trailer tongue. Can you help me? Thank you, Greg

Hey Greg, we do not offer U-bolts for the CE Smith Offset Spool Roller Assembly for Boat Trailers - Galvanized Steel w/ Black Rubber - 4" # CE32110G as the mounting holes for these are 2-1/2" apart on center and this was designed to attach with nuts and bolts. But there is a better option for you. I recommend the CE Smith Keel Roller Assembly for 2" Wide Trailer Tongues - Galvanized Steel and Black Rubber # CE32005G which is designed to fit a trailer tongue with a 2" width.

Hi Jameson - thanks for the follow-up. I looked at CE32005G but the bolts and axle are zinc plated, not galvanized. I'd have to replace the two bolts, the two nuts and the axle to make it last in salt water. Still looking for a keel roller for my CE48810 trailer. Any other ideas? Greg

@Greg Where did you see that the CE32005G has zinc plated hardware? We were under impression it was all galvanized.

Hi Jameson - the while the description says the parts are galvanized it appears the description refers to the brackets. The photo shows zinc plated fasteners.
