Does a Breakaway Battery Kit Need a Fuse Installed In-Line on the Brake Circuit?

Question:
2022 Keystone Aspen Trail 25BH. Should I put a fuse inline with my breakaway trailer brakes, and if so how many amps?

Hey Rich, thanks for reaching out!
You will want to have your breakaway battery kit, like the Bright Way # 3802308, directly to your trailer brakes without a fuse in-line. Reason being that if your fuse should go out then the breakaway kit wouldn't be able to activate the brakes in an emergency situation.
Hopefully that clears things up for you. Do you already have a breakaway battery kit?
