Question:
Looking to replace an existing breakaway battery and switch on a 2000 6x14ft tandem both with electric brakes Wells Cargo enclosed trailer. Options being considered are the Hopkins kits, models 20400 or the 20099. What are the differences between the two models, and which is most suitable for the trailer in question?

Pretty much the only difference between the Engager breakaway systems # 20099 and # 20400 are the designs of the battery boxes. Both function the same and have the same features. Engager # 20400 is meant to be mounted to the side of the trailer frame whereas # 20099 is designed more from the top of a frame. But ultimately you could install them anywhere there is space so I wouldn't say one is better than the other for you trailer.
