Question:

I have a 2025 kia sorento EX AWD. I need to know how this e69MV compares with the C37RV hitch. The C37RV says visible cross tube but the pictures and video show it concealed. Is that right? The e69MV says concealed cross tube. There are no pictures. Is the e69MV easier to mount? Or is there something better about it? Clearance the same between the two?

Hey Thaddeus, thanks for reaching out!

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C37RV and the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e69MV are going to install the same way and have the same basic design to fit to your 2025 Kia Sorento. The difference between them is that the etrailer hitch has a matte black finish which I've found to be more durable than the classic glossy black that we see with the other hitches. The clearance will be the same as well.

The current photo of the etrailer hitch is just a generic one and doesn't reflect the actual design. I'm not sure where you're seeing the "visible" crosstube description - the only part of either hitch that will be visible is the receiver like you mentioned.

What do you plan on using the hitch for?

Thanks. That helps me a lot. I'm going to use it for a five bike rack. Maybe I'll use it for a light trailer at some point for canoes/kayaks. Tht's about it.

@Thaddeus Happy to help! Do you already have a 5-bike rack? Since using for a trailer isn't out of the realm of possibilities, I also recommend getting a wiring harness installed while you're at it. It would be better/easier to do while you're installing the hitch, and it means your whole setup is ready to go when/if you need to tow a trailer, instead of adding one more thing on your plate when you need to move your boats. For wiring you'll need the part # C99DR if you have LEDs or part # C63RV if you don't have LEDs.
