Replacement Wheels and Tires for 1980 Stoddard Trailer With ST205/90R15 Tires

Updated 09/26/2025 | Published 04/23/2025

Question:

Hi, I’ve got a 1980 Stoddard bumper pull trailer, that has ST205/90R15 tires on it. I was wondering, if you would have a tire/rim setup for this, or even just a rim? Thank you in advance.

Hey Shane! Are you looking for a particular wheel style/bolt pattern? ST205/90R15 tires aren't a size we carry. However, a wheel like the Dexstar Conventional Steel Wheel # AM20504 you looked at will likely work with this size. This is a 15" x 6" wheel so you will have to see if your particular tire fits. This tends to vary between manufacturers.

For example, the Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10303 fits 15" x 6", 15" x 6-1/2", and 15" x 7" wheels. You could switch to this size but your tire will be a little shorter and wider. You will be lowering your trailer approximately 1/2" and losing approximately 2/5" of clearance on the inside of the tire (inside clearance loss would be negated if you use the Dextar offset wheel). This particular tire is a Load Range E with a max load of 2,860 lbs at 80 psi and a max speed of 81 mph.

Hey Shane, did you find a wheel setup that works for your trailer? I'm curious to know if the Dexstar wheel or switching to the Karrier tire ended up being a good fit for you. Your experience could really help others in a similar situation!
