Recommended T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder for Featherlite Enclosed Horse Trailer

Updated 09/26/2025 | Published 04/21/2025

Question:

Hi, I have a Featherlite enclosed horse trailer that I need to replace the door holders on. I have watched many of your videos of YouTube, but they all seem to have screws, where the ones on my trailer are smooth. I have attached photos. I believe I need the 45 degree holders. Would you have any idea of how to remove the old holders? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Hey Heidi thanks for the pictures! You are correct you do need the 45-Degree T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder for Enclosed Trailer item # 37211755. It is 6" long and has a 45 degree hook and keeper like yours.

As far as removing the old ones go. You'll want to center punch all of the rivets with a chisel and then you can drill them out with a small 3 mm drill bit.

If you have any additional questions feel free to throw them into the comment box below and I'll be happy to answer them.

Hey Heidi, did the 45-degree hook and keeper door holder work out for your Featherlite trailer? I'm curious to know if the removal process went smoothly for you, as it could help others facing a similar situation.
