Hey Brian, this is a great question but no you do not need longer wheel studs to go from a steel trailer wheel to an aluminum one like the Aluminum Eagle Wheel part # LH47VR that you referenced.

Hey Paul the Lionshead wheel part #LH47VR that you referenced is designed to be used with a 60 degree conical lug nut like the part #AM90070.
