Question:

Hello, We previously purchased a Roadmaster flat tow system for a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We have change vehicles and now have a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE. I need the Jeeps 6 Pin to vehicle charging to brake - turn signal wiring and diode packs. At this time I will not install a braking system as out Fleetwood 39Z Bounder has ample braking to handle the Jeep. Plus there is the additional problem with lack of space under passenger seat where Jeep Brake Controller would normally be installed. I am also considering air brake as we have air brakes but am not familiar with that equipment/installation needs. FYI: I have extensive heavy and auto mechanics and electronics knowledge so running individual wires, soldering, weather proofing etc is easily in my wheel house. Can you please provide the part numbers for the Jeep electrical needs so I can connect the 6 pin coiled cable to charging the Jeep while towing to brake/turn signal as well as the front baseplate with arms fro the 2023 4XE and we have front hooks installed. Please advise as soon as possible. Thanks Carl Can you please provide the cost

Hey Carl, since you didn't outright mention it I'm assuming you don't have the ParkSense feature so you'll just need the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-15267 with the Chare Line Kit # RM-156-25.

If you do have the ParkSense feature, then you'd want the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM63MR instead.

@JonG We chose to have the dealership install the RoadMaster system into our new 2023 4XE. Yes it is 2025 but this was sitting on their lot and they made us an offer we could not refuse The dealership did an excellent job installing. I would highly recommend Rock City Chrysler Jeep in Little Valley NY to do RoadMaster installations. Way better experience then when CW messed up our RV wiring harness causing significant delays and future problems due to their failings. Much improved brake indication. For us it was more than worth the drive. Carl
