Replacement Leaf Spring for a 2024 Grand Design Influence 2903RL

Question:

Good morning. I am interested in the Dexter 7 leaf double eye leaf spring 8000 lb part DX74XR. I am going on a long road trip with my RV, a 2024 Grand Design Influence 2903RL and wanted a spare leaf spring in case of an emergency. The measurement on the spring currently on the RV is over 24 7/8’ but that is under load. I am hoping the 24 7/8’ spring listed on Etrailer is the correct spring. The width is 1 3/4’. Can you advise me on if this is the correct leaf spring for my needs? Thank you for your assistance.

Hey Steve! I can't guarantee the 7-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 8,000-lb Trailer Axles item # DX74XR is gong to be the correct spring even though your trailer's pretty new. We recommend measuring the springs with the weight off of them because they stretch out once you start using them and there's a lot of factors that speed this process up not just the age of the spring.

Additionally, I do not have a database I can look up and see what specific spring your 2024 Grand Design Influence 2903RL has.

I recommend jacking up one side of your trailer and getting the weight off of the spring then measuring it eye to eye for a more accurate measurement. You can leave that measurement in the comment box below.
