The Ventline Breeze LED 360 Bathroom Vent w/ 120V AC Fan is Loud

Question:
Just installed a Ventline 75cfm I received from you and it is super loud. Like its reverberating I believe. When it wasnt in the ceiling it was pretty quiet but when installed in the ceiling, its LOUD. I am thinking about pulling it and putting a thin layer of foam between the black housing and drywall/sheetrock to see if that would help. Even though its a simple install, I am shocked that there are no installation instructions with the fan assy. There was an older Ventline in there so the wiring and install was rather simple. I replaced it because the old one 24 years old was loud and the new one is even louder with only having a different tone to it. Difference between the old and new is the mounting. Old one screwed through the drywall to the 2x4 braces above it and new one uses the screws with the pieces that pull down tight to the drywall/sheetrock. Frustrating!

Hey Bruce, thanks for reaching out!
I spoke with my contact at Ventline and they did say that the Ventline Breeze LED 360 Bathroom Vent w/ 120V AC Fan # VE86FR is one of the louder fans on the market, although they don't have an official sound rating for it.
Let me know if you end up putting some foam between it and the drywall/sheetrock - I'd be interested to know if that helps at all!

Hey Bruce, did adding the foam between the Ventline Breeze LED 360 fan and the drywall make any difference in the noise level? Your results could really help others dealing with the same loud fan issue.
