The transformer winding plastic bobbin was wider than the original and would not fit into the motor housing bracket. Had to make modifications on both the motor and the mating plastic bracket that fits in the fan housing to make it work, by cutting plastic on both sides.
Exact part shipped promptly. Works great and I would buy again. (And will for next bath fan )

I bought two to replace in two different bathrooms. The motors were a little bit wider than the originals. I had to modify the housing by grinding away a little of the plastic on each side of the housing before the new motors would fit. These were supposed to be exact replacements for the model number from the manufacturer. Should have been an easy swap but was not.
This product arrived early, was well wrapped & secure. The avail. & price was good too. Communication between seller & myself was informative & above average! Paying on line was a breeze too. Would have been five stars but I think the fan is a bit on the loud side.

This motor does not fit the Ventline V2270-50 as described. It may look like it does, but it certainly does not, as I will explain:
The width of the old motor’s coil is 1-1/2 inches. The width of the new motor’s coil is 1-11/16 inches wide. The housing the motor goes into is 1-19/32 inches wide. Therefore the coil on the new motor is at least 3/32 of an inch too wide. Therefore I had to grind (or file) out about 1/16 of an inch on each side of the housing for the motor to fit in.
Also the electrical plug is not the same. The old motor’s plug has 3 male connectors (pins) within the receptacle. The new motor has 2 male pins and 1 female pin. I had to crimp the 1 female pin so that it would fit into the all female pins in the receiving receptacle in the housing.
Being mechanically inclined, I was able to make all the adjustments, but no one should have to!!!
The motor works......and that’s the only positive thing I can say about it.

The purchase and delivery went fine - no complaints. However, the motor itself does not fit the original housing. The new motor has plastic pieces that connect wires to the unit. Those plastic pieces are slightly larger than the ones on the original motor. Therefore, you must cut/grind them down a little to keep your fan from sitting at an angle in the housing.Wish I had video of the process. Works fine though once that adjustment is made.

I reached out to the manufacturer on this, Gordon. It sounds like they have heard of this fitment issue. There are a few old supplies they had whose design is slightly off from the newer replacements. I am glad you were able to get 'er done, but Im sorry it wasnt as simple as it should have been.
Got it to fit after shaving off some plastic. Exactly as described in another review.

Fan is still spinning, working great and still brand new. No signs of ware or corrosion starting. Highly recommend buying one in need just as when I first bought mine. Thank you
