Hi KD; the GE Appliances Deluxe RV AC # GE34FR will not work with your existing thermostat unless it happens to be for an R32 GE AC. Everything is switching over to R32 refrigerant which requires a whole new setup. You can choose from the following based on having a heat pump and ducted/ductless:
-GE Appliances Deluxe RV AC System w/ Heat Pump - Ductless - 13,500 Btu - White # GE64RR
-GE Appliances Deluxe RV AC System - Ductless - 13,500 Btu - White # GE92ZR
-GE Appliances Deluxe RV AC System w/ Heat Pump - Ducted - 13,500 Btu - White # GE52ZR
-GE Appliances Deluxe RV AC System - Ducted - 13,500 Btu - White # GE83ZR
