Features to know about

Ties Into Your Existing Ductwork

This ducted air conditioner pushes cooled air through the vents in the ceiling, delivering consistent airflow across multiple rooms in your RV. With a GE ducted system, the rooftop unit connects to a ceiling assembly that ties into your existing ductwork, giving you whole-RV comfort with a clean, built-in look. It's a great choice for larger RVs or anyone who wants to control airflow from front to back, not just in the room below the AC. If you already have ducts in place, this setup gives you full-zone cooling without compromising space or layout.

A Smarter, Future-Ready Choice

A lot's changed in RV cooling over the years, and one of the biggest shifts is what's inside the system - not just the tech, but the refrigerant itself. This model uses R-32, a newer refrigerant that cools efficiently while producing significantly less environmental impact. It's cleaner, more future-friendly, and already becoming the standard across the industry. If you're replacing an aging unit, you're not just upgrading your airflow you're upgrading what's behind it.

Video Transcript for Review of GE Appliances RV Air Conditioners - 13500 Btu White Deluxe Ducted RV AC System - GE83ZR

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look together at this GE Appliances 13,500 BTU white deluxe ducted RV air conditioner system. Now this is going to be a great option for you to consider if you're looking to upgrade or add an air conditioner system on your RV's ducted system in your small to medium sized camper. And this 13,500 BTU per hour air conditioner is going to cool evenly and also handle harsh road conditions all from a brand that you trust. Now this does use the more energy efficient R-32 refrigerant that's going to meet the 2025 EPA regulations.

And because of that, this unit is not going to be backwards compatible with any air conditioner system from 2024 and earlier. This will be a bolt on installation with the included hardware that you see here. And this is going to fit roofs from two inches to six inches thick with an opening size of 14 3/8 inches long by 14 3/8 inches wide. And the unit itself measures, when we look at the length first from end to end, about 32 13/16 inches long. And the overall width is pretty close to 26 1/8 inches wide.

The overall height about 13 15/16 inches tall and the unit itself weighs slightly under 80 pounds, just so you're aware of that. So this is going to run quietly. The motor has sound dampening grommets. That's gonna help reduce annoying humming. And this is gonna be a pretty easy swap for most RVs.

This is going to seamlessly install over your roof's preexisting roof vent opening. And this is also built tough. This is constructive of high grade materials that's going to withstand extreme UV rays and the constant vibration that comes from going down the road. This white hard automotive grade polymer shroud is gonna do a great job of protecting those internal components from dirt, debris, and water. And it's gonna be able to be easily removed if you need to do any maintenance or cleaning out.

It's just held into place here by four Phillips head screws. And underneath there is a wiring harness that's gonna be easily accessible during installation. And when you do install this, you do want to make sure that you keep the rear of the unit at least 18 inches away from any obstructions. Let's take a closer look here at this side of my table here just to go over the components that's gonna come with this. So you are going to get this air distribution box, and then this is also built to handle vibrations and every day RV life. And just giving you a view of the backside of it as well. So when you have this installed in the ceiling of your RV, it's not gonna take up much head space at all. It's going to stick out, stick down probably about 5/8 of an inch or so. And just to give you some other measurements, looking at the width and the length, this is about 17 5/8 inches. And then I want to bring our thermostat up a little bit closer just so you can see, this is a white thermostat, and this is a single zone thermostat that's going to include these very easy to use buttons that you see here. And you've got a really nice, large, clear backlit display. So you're gonna be able to easily see the settings and set the settings in all kind of light conditions. And this does include the hardware to get this installed into place. And then you're also going to receive this fireproof control box or control board. As you know, this is the brain that manages how your air conditioner unit operates. And so this is also included as well. And so this system comes from a trusted brand, GE, of course, a name that you know for especially home appliances. And you're bringing that trusted reliability that you know from your home appliances into your RV. So this is really going to be just a great system to consider from a trusted brand if this meets the specifications that you're looking for. If it doesn't, maybe you're looking for a different color of air conditioner, a higher BTU rating, a unit that's designed for your ductless systems. We have you covered from GE in particular, we do carry a wide variety of systems from GE. So if this isn't the one that you're looking for, be sure to take a look at the other options that we carry from GE. Now, if you do decide to pick this up, we would love to hear back from you, whether it's commenting on our product page or leaving a review on our product page, share your experience with us, with the installation and with the operation and let us know how everything's going for you. If you got some pictures you'd like to send our way as well, we'd love to see 'em. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together has been helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I haven't installed the AC unit yet. I just wanted to say that the ordering process is extremely easy to complete the transaction process. Checking out of the cart is routine and completed in minutes. I was on the road traveling and decided to order the AC unit and have it delivered to my house. Checking out process has the option to deliver your order to an E-Trailer trusted agent business. I requested to have the AC unit delivered to a trusted agent near my traveling location. who work with E-trailer. The agent was extremely helpful loaded in my truck. Just waiting to get it installed this sometime this week.
