Video Transcript for Review of GE Appliances Ducted Upgrade Kit RV AC - GE36FR

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this GE Appliances Ducted Upgrade Kit for your GE RV air conditioners. Now, this kit is designed to modernize or replace outdated components in your RV's air conditioner ducted system, particularly if you're upgrading to or already using a GE rooftop air conditioner. This is gonna fit roof openings of 14 3/8 inches by 14 3/8 inches, and this does include everything that you see here on my table before me. Obviously you're gonna get this air distribution box, and this is the interior unit that distributes the cooled air into your RV, and an upgraded air distribution box often gives you better air flow, quieter operation, and more efficient cooling.

This is built to handle road vibrations and everyday RV life. It does include the four bolts to install your air conditioner to your system and other hardware to install everything. Measurements of this box, the overall width and length is gonna be right at 17 5/8 inches long. And then when you have this installed into your ceiling, this is going to stick down about 5/8 of an inch. So really not a whole lot.

It's not gonna be sticking out a whole lot at all. So it's relatively low profile. Then it does include this air divider here. And then I wanna move on to our fireproof control board. As you probably know, this is the brain of the operation.

So it's gonna operate how your air conditioner works and communicate the controls of the thermostat to the AC unit. Overall measurements, the overall length is gonna be 7 1/2 inches, overall width about 6 7/8 inches, and the overall thickness about 2 3/8 inches. And then our white single-zone thermostat is included as well. And we have these easy-to-use buttons. It's gonna be a large backlit display.

And it is recommended to mount this thermostat between four and five feet above the floor. And as you probably know, you don't wanna mount it on an outside wall or in direct sunlight or behind a door or near a vent or a duct. If you're wondering about the size of our thermostat, the width and the length is 3 1/2 inches and the thickness is one inch. And so this is going to work with your compatible GE rooftop air conditioner.
