Tip for Disconnecting B and W Continuum When Vehicle is on Incline

Updated 10/27/2025 | Published 03/19/2025

Question:

BandW Continuum Hitch 2025 FR Flagstaff 27BHWS 2020 F250 SDCC Diesel First trip using the new Continuum. The system was awesome to tow with and not much sway in 25 MPH winds. Once at the RV park, I had a bad experience trying to unhook my RV from the truck. The RV site had my truck on an incline at the front end of my truck while the RV was pretty level. After releasing the pressure on my pump, the spring bar assembly was wedged due to the incline of my truck. I had to move to another RV site that was much more level. Is there a recommendation for this scenario? Should I have raised the RV with the auto tongue jack? Please advise.

Hey John, in that situation yes I would recommend using the trailer jack to see if you can raise the rear of the truck a bit to allow it to sit more level. Unless the incline was really steep then that wouldn't work as that would be a lot of incline to compensate for.

Hey John, how did things go the next time you unhooked your RV using the Continuum hitch on an incline? Your update could make it easier for others dealing with uneven campsites.
