Will Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler C82CR Fit A 2" Tongue?

hello I just picked up a polar trailer hdm 1400 ta. the tongue is 2 inch however it has a open end tube with 2 bolt holes on the top and only one on the sides. just wondering if this cupler is compatible ? thanks. Steve

Hello Steve, thanks for reaching out. The Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler # C82CR will fit a 2" channel, but you would need to drill a second hole on the side of the tongue. The bolt holes on this coupler are 3" apart on center, and the coupler must be attached to the tongue using 1/2" grade 5 bolts. The picture below shows an example of proper installation.

Hey Steve, how did things go with the Curt QuickPin coupler on your Polar trailer? Were you able to drill the extra side hole and get it mounted securely? Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same setup.
