Will Dometic Wall Switch Work With MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent
Updated 10/28/2025 | Published 03/01/2025 >
Question:
I am installing a MaxxFan Deluxe in a 2016 Newmar Dutch Star. There are four wires going to the old dometic fan. Two of them go to the wall switch and the other two are the power and ground. What do I do with the two wires coming from the wall switch? Can I still use them with the MaxxFan? Thank you, Tim

Hey Tim! The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-07500K is not compatible with that wall switch. I would cap off those extra wires and leave them just in case you need them sometime later on. The MaxxFan has a 2-wire design so there wouldn't be a way to connect it to that switch. Even if you could, it is designed to operate with the buttons on the vent or with the included remote. If you need anything else feel free to reach out in the comments below.
