Hi there, would this hitch work on a 2024 Golf R? I am not interested on the hitch that goes behind the license plate. Thanks in advanced.

Hey Ramiro, thanks for reaching back out!

EcoHitch only lists the Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH59CR to fit the 2024 Volkswagen Golf R model. The EcoHitch # EH75SR you're asking about is designed for the GTI model.

With that being said, if you have a skilled shop in your area that you trust, it's worth trying to see if they'd be willing to take a look at everything to see if the EH75SR will work. This hitch has a different mounting bracket than the one that is designed for your vehicle so I can't guarantee it will work, but if you absolutely don't want the one that mounts behind the license plate then this would be the next option to think about.

If you don't have a shop that you work with in your area, then I recommend checking out the linked installer locator. This is a list of shops in your area (when you put your zip code in) that we do business with who have said they are good with hitch installations. I'm not sure if any of them are okay with modifications, but at the very least it's a starting list for you.

Hey Ramiro, what did you end up doing for the hitch on your Golf R? I'm curious if a local shop was able to confirm whether the EH75SR could work. Your update could make it easier for others trying to avoid the behind-the-plate option.
