Could Different Length RoadArmor Replace MORryde CRE3000

Question:
My Montana came with the CRE3000 with 2/14inch shackles. Is it possible to move from the CRE3000, with an eye width of 8inch to a Road Armor TrailAir with a 6inch eye width? Thanks, Jeff

Not without going to a different length leaf spring as well to make up for that different length. You'd basically need to go with a leaf spring that is around 1 inch longer than what you have. Do you not like the CRE3000?

Thanks, Jameson, I am not dissatisfied with the CRE3000's. I was doing regular maintenance, including replacing some bronze bushings, and thought that while I was at it that I would replace the equalizers since they were several years old...so why not try the TrailAir's. Since then I have learned that as long as the rubber in the CRE3000's is intact that they are not compromised. The rubber in mine still looks great so there's no need to replace them. I have now finished lubing and reassembling the suspension components and am confident in keeping the CRE3000's in place. I appreciate you getting back. I couldn't find any real answer to my original question so having more online info regarding the importance of the dimensions of these products can be helpful to others.
