Can I Use Dexstar Conventional Steel Wheel with Offset on My 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport?

Question:

It seems like its a good fit for my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport. The bolt pattern matches but the backspace is an inch short. The offset is 30mm and I dont see how this wheel fits that, can you advise on compatibility?

Hello Bruce,

The wheels that we carry are not meant for vehicle use, they are only intended for trailer use. Trailer wheels aren’t made for cars because they’re designed for straight-line loads, not the side forces of turning. They have different bolt patterns, offsets, and weaker lateral support. Trailer tires also have stiff sidewalls for carrying weight but don’t grip like car tires. Plus, they lack proper cooling for brakes, which can be unsafe. Using them on a car could cause handling issues, and wear out parts faster. If you need me to have one of our customer service representative send you a return label, please let me know.
