How To Prevent Cargo Carrier From Wobbling And Moving Up And Down When Driving

Question:
My cargo carrier moves up and down a lot when I go over bumps or when I get up to speed on the highway. Is there anything I can do? 2" hitch on my suv.

Good morning Shawna, that's definitely not good, but fortunately you're not the only one that has experienced this, and we have an excellent solution to combat the wobble of the cargo carrier. I would install the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Collar for 2" Hitch Receivers # e38FV which clamps around your vehicle's 2" receiver to stop the wobble and movement. I've used this on my setup before, and it works wonders.
Some other clamp-style devices simply pull the shank to the receiver in one direction, which can still allow side to side movement. But the etrailer clamp is unique in the fact that it has a strong internal gate that pushes down from the corner, allowing the entire shank to be secured firmly against the inside of the receiver.
It's super easy to install as you can see in the short demo videos on the product page and the photo I attached; then just tighten the hand knob and your cargo carrier will be solid and nearly one with the receiver.
Let me know how you like this, and please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!
