Shower Drain for Specialty Recreation RV Shower Pan

Updated 12/21/2024 | Published 12/20/2024

Question:

Hi I have the Specialty Recreation RV Shower Pan - Center Drain - 32inch Long x 24inch Wide - White and need the drain portion, kind of know but with so many choices really hard to know for sure without having one to lay in. Prefer steel/brass over plastic/PVC so it will last longer. Fix it once moto. 1990 Ford E350 Class C Gulfstream Conquest, but this is a replacement, the old tub was just yellow nasty so its an upgrade.

Hi Stephanie; the Specialty Recreation RV Shower Pan # SR55RR has a 2" diameter drain hole. For the drain you can use the RV Shower Drain with Strainer - 2" Diameter - Chrome Plated Steel # 3729495-211-022.

Hi Robin is there a difference with RV Shower Drain with Strainer - 2" Diameter - Chrome Plated Steel - Drains Part Code: 3729495-209-022. They look the same, but the one you recommended has that extra nut and plastic washer, the p-trap on my unit is PVC direct threaded, the plastic washer is built in to the p-trap and the nut is captured. Also, just to be sure, the rubber washer is mounted on the pan topside, then the drain top nut is in direct contact with the bottom flange of the pans underside. Correct ??? The reason for asking this, is these pans have a rather aggressive curved to the drain vs being flat and as such a bit worried about leakage. Thanks

@Stephanie they're the same aside from the extra parts. The one I gave you is slightly cheaper right now so if you don't need to use those you can leave them off. The rubber washer will mount on the top side under the flange to keep it sealed, yes.
