Can Trailer Prewired for Voyager Camera System Use Different Camera System Brand

Question:

My trailer is also prewired with Voyager WiSight. Is it true that I can install a different brand of wireless backup RV camera - it doesn’t have to be Voyager brand?

Hi Chris; you do not have to use a Voyager camera even though your trailer is prewired for that system. You can install something like the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System # FOS05TASF instead. All you have to do is cut off the plug for the Voyager and hardwire it to power the Furrion camera. If it has a mounting plate you can remove it and replace it with the Furrion shark fin or whatever other mounting plate comes with the camera system you decide on.
