Video Transcript for Review of Lippert Trailer Suspension Parts - U-Bolt Kits - LC85RP

Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at a Lippert U-bolt and nut kit for 8,000 pound trailer axles that are three inch wide. So folks, again, these are going to go around your axle. They're going to be what holds this axle to your trailer suspension system with the two included flange nuts. So this will be one part of that trailer suspension.

Again, built for 8,000 pound axles and those are going to be traditionally three inches wide on the inside. Now this U-bolt's about seven and a quarter inches long as far as the total length. So make sure you check everything before you're replacing old U-bolts for your axle. Make sure you measure the old ones, make sure they match up as close as you possibly can with these. If yours are even a half inch shorter, these may not work.

As you can see, you only get so many length of threads. So depending on your spring stack and all that, you may need exactly this length and shorter just won't work. So make sure you're checking everything and matching it up 100%. Now these are going to be nine-16th by 18 fine threads. Again, you get the matching bolts to go with them.

As you can see, they have a nice yellow zinc plating and that's over that steel. So that's going to help resist rust and corrosion from that constant exposure that it gets daily underneath those trailers. I'm Steven with etrailer. Thanks for watching.
