Question:
Good morning. Hopefully your thanksgiving was good. I had a question for you. I have upgraded to a different trailer and my current lock pin is a little short for the new trailer. It only grabs a few threads. I’d like to keep my lock because it’s keyed alike with my other locks. Is it possible just to buy a longer pin? Thank you!

Hello Danny,
Yes, it was a lovely Thanksgiving with family. Hope you enjoyed yours as well.
We unfortunately do not sell just the pin portion. We do have one with a longer span, the etrailer Surge Brake Coupler Lock - 3-3/8" Span - 1/4" Diameter - Chrome # e98888, it does have the keyed alike option for an addition $1.75 so we can match it to your other locks. I suggest giving our customer service a call to place the order so they can ensure you get the right key number. 1-800-940-8924 Just tell them you want to order # e98888 and have your key number ready, it will be on the lock core or the key itself.

I’m assuming that the 3-3/8” span is the span of the lock when it is closed all the way?
