What Is The Difference Between The Dutton-Lainson Jacks DL22560 And DL22457?

Updated 12/15/2025 | Published 11/26/2024

Question:

What is the difference between the DL22560 and DL22457? I have an aluminum boat trailer 1300kg GAWR, so Im assuming that a 450kg rated jack 1000lb is plenty. Looking to get the best possible durability, Im tired of cheap chinese-made jacks failing.

Hello Alex, thanks for reaching out. The Dutton-Lainson # DL22560 and # DL22457 are both 1,000 lb rated jacks with a 2" tube and the 6" wheel.

The # DL22560 has 12" of total travel. It extends from 15-5/8" to 27-5/16".

The # DL22457 has 10" of travel. It extends from 24" to 33" to it is a bit longer overall than the # DL22560. The dimensional differences are really the only thing worth noting.

A 1,000 lb rated jack will absolutely be sufficient for your 1300kg GAWR trailer. The Dutton-Lainson jacks are made here in the USA. They use a zinc finish which is good for corrosion resistance. A good friend of mine has one of their jacks on a sailboat trailer and it has help up great over the years and that is in a harsh marine environment with almost daily exposure. They are going to be a step up in quality from a lot of jacks made overseas.
