Hey Dwight,

An E1 error code just means there's a communication error with the control board so it's likely there's one specific function that the fireplace is supposed to have working that isn't. This could potentially be the safety or thermal cut off that tells the unit to shut down if things are getting too hot or if something is too close so at this point I would replace it to avoid potentially starting a fire inside of your trailer.

If you have a shop or garage you like to hangout or work in you can repurpose the fireplace with a few 2x4's and some wheels. I built a small frame around one and added two longer boards on the bottom to balance the weight and then screwed on some casters so we could roll it around the office. Right now it's down in our consultation center decorated for the holidays. If anything ever went wrong with it you'd be able to see immediately and could just roll it away/unplug it. I don't think that's actually going to happen but it's best to always prepare for the worst.

If need help picking out a replacement I'd just need to cutout hole dimensions.

Hey Dwight, did you end up replacing the fireplace after seeing that E1 error code? Your update could make it easier for others dealing with the same issue.
