Question:

I am considering purchasing a CPO Audi Q8, but it does not have the trailer towing package. Will this hitch installation allow up to the Q8 limit of 7,700 pounds? Our trailer is about 5,000 pounds loaded. What is the upper limit for the hitch with the installed ball?

Yes, it will Andy. The Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch item # 391AUDQ818T has a maximum towing capacity of 8,000 lbs. You'll get every bit of the 7,700 lbs capacity out of your 2022 Audi Q8.

The Stealth Hitches item # 391AUDQ818T comes with everything you need to tow a trailer except a brake controller. Since your Q8 does not have the towing package, I recommend using the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller item # C51180. This is by far the easiest brake controller to install and use. You simply plug it into the 7-way connector and control the settings through an app on your phone.

@JerredH Did not use a stealth hitch. Instead purchased an AUDI Q8 with the trailer tow package. What did work great was the TUSON antisway controller on my GEO Pro 19FDS, which I sold. Andy
