Question:

Hi there I live in Belgium and drive a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon stock springs and height , adjustable shocks i build an aluminum Bed camper 1000lbs, so fully loaded we are on max load capacity. Now i have the air lift 1000 set in the springs witch works perfect but not legal in Belgium. I want too change for the Sumosprings, what is your advice blue or black? Hey Erwin,

I always recommend matching the enhancement to the weight you plan on towing while also factoring in your vehicle's payload capacity to avoid affecting your unloaded ride quality. With the payload capacity of your Gladiator being only 1,200lbs and the camper weighing in at 1,000lbs the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SS42XR (1,400lb capacity) would be more than enough to help support your suspension with the camper loaded in without being so stiff that it becomes uncomfortable.

These springs are about twice the size of the factory ones so they'll engage much quicker but you'll still see a bit of sag because the springs do have a gap between them and the axle and wouldn't engage until the gap is closed. You should immediately notice a difference when making turns with or without the camper. Your Gladiator will start to lean to one side as you turn and the springs on that side will engage, giving you support to make the turn smoother.

Installation is super simple and can be done in just a few minutes and once completed will require no maintenance. I've attached a short video below where Matt will walk you through the process.

Hey Erwin, how did things turn out with the SumoSprings on your Gladiator and camper setup? Did they give you the support and smoother ride you were hoping for? Your feedback could really help others balancing similar loads.
