If the latch on your 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 is the older style like the one in the picture that I have attached then yes, the Pop and Lock Custom Tailgate Lock, # PAL3400, will work for you.

If your truck has the newer style latch, we offer the Pop and Lock Custom Powered Tailgate Lock, # PAL8350. This lock wires into the existing power door locks on your truck and the tailgate will now lock and unlock with the doors. If your Ram didn't come equipped with power locks, you will need to add Switch Kit, # PAL9520. This will allow you to lock and unlock the tailgate from the cab of your truck.
