How to Designate a 2009 Dodge Ram From a 2009.5 Dodge Ram For a Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock

Question:
You mention the lock fits the 2009.5 model 1500 series. How do I know if my truck is a 2009 or 2009.5

The Pop and Lock # PAL8350 that you are referencing will fit either version of the 2009 Ram.
I have found that if your 2009 Dodge Ram was built after March 4, 2009, it is considered a .5, however, for a definite answer, the easiest way is to call your local Dodge dealer with your VIN.
In my research, I have found that the differentiators between the 2009 and 2009.5 are all across the board ranging from the internal computer upgrades to the Dodge branding to the physical structure of the vehicle.
