Tailgate Lock for a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab without Locking Handle

I have a dodge ram 1500 quad cab , the tailgate handle is a no key lock will this work or will i need more items to complete job. Thanks for any help

The 2009 model year of the Dodge Ram 1500 was a split year. Some models had the 2008 tail gate handle, like in the picture, and some had the 2010. Tailgate lock # PAL8350 fits the newer models. For the older models you would use # PAL3400.
The tailgate would have to have a manual lock for # PAL8350 to work.
