Can A Blue Ox Baseplate And Curt Front-Mounted Trailer Hitch Both Be Installed On A 2022 Ram 1500

On a Ram 2022 Laramie Sport can the Blue Oc front tow plates and Curt 31090 both be installed.. I not is there a different front hitch that can be installed?? The tow bar base plates are the most important of the two.

Hey Mike,
Both the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BLU99FR and Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C87FR would be fighting for the same space on the frame rail where the tow hooks sit so they would not be compatible together. There isn't another custom-fit hitch but you could go with a weld-on adjustable-fit trailer hitch and work with a local fabricator shop to get it sitting right and welded to the frame rails. We offer a few different drop lengths that you can use as a rise or drop to get your receiver tube to stick out in the right position through the front fascia. This is a lot of custom work though so it would likely be a costly install unless you have some buddies that can help you out.

While you have the fascia off to install the baseplate I would start measuring for the hitch and see what could be in the way/start figuring out where you'd like the receiver tube to stick through.

Thank you Kevin. I’ll have a Curt C87FR that I will most likely need to return to ETrailer, just purchased and received. The RV shop that is going to pro install the tow bar kit wants to look ar it first. The list of possible weld on drops is much appreciated. Mike P
