Hello John, thanks for getting in touch. The # RA-DB4 spring you mentioned is designed to be a replacement for the lower spring of the Rack'Em Double Barrel trailer tailgate lift assist, part # RA-27C. I really can't recommend using it for anything other than that, since there is no guarantee it will work. If your current ramp springs are the same size (18-1/2" long and 1-1/2" wide) it may be a suitable replacement, but you would be better off using a spring that is intended to be used for a horse trailer ramp.
