Hi Steven,

We do have base plates that will work for your 2015 Chevy Sonic, and from what I was able to find the new ones Ready Brute Elite II come with the correct clevis to attach to Blue Ox base plates. Having said that, you'll want to verify that the tow bar came with the correct clevis for the Blue Ox base plates, and if so what you can use is the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1703.

The Elite II has a braking system already, so you'll just need a couple other things, starting with lights (if you don't already have them). The right ones depend on if you have incandescent or LED tail lights, so either the Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit for Variable Voltage Incandescent Tail Lights # RM26FR or Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM38FR.

Finally, the other thing you'll need, since you have to pull fuses to tow your '15 Sonic, is the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass # RM76511.

Hey Steven, how did the Blue Ox base plate work out with your Brute Elite II tow setup on the Chevy Sonic? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar flat tow system.
