When you’re hauling serious weight, you need a wheel that’s as stout as the rest of your setup. This Dexstar dual wheel has a load capacity of 3,300 lbs and meets Department of Transportation standards for reliability under load. The 16" diameter and 6" width pair with an 8 on 6.5" bolt pattern and a 5.5" offset, giving you proper spacing and strength in a dual-wheel configuration.
Moisture, salt, and grime are no match for this wheel’s layered protection. The steel construction is treated with an e-coat primer and finished in silver powder coat for excellent corrosion resistance. It keeps its clean look even after long exposure to wet or humid environments.
Fitment is straightforward thanks to the hub-piloted design that centers snugly on a 4.75" pilot hole. Non-chamfered bolt holes pair with 5/8" flange nuts (part #95188, sold separately) to secure the wheel tight without guesswork. The result is solid alignment and balanced performance across both inner and outer duals.
Dexstar engineered this wheel for real-world use with standard heavy-duty parts. It takes a 0.625" valve stem opening that fits the Americana Metal Bolt-In Valve Stem #AM20906 (sold separately). Combined with the proper flange nuts, it’s a straightforward match for durable dual applications where consistent torque and sealing matter most.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at "etrailer.com". Today I'm gonna take a look at the Dexstar 16 inch by 6 inch dual wheel, with the 5 and a half inch offset. Has an 8 on 6 and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel is a dual wheel, that can be used as either an inner wheel in this position, or if you turn it around as an outer wheel, on your truck or your trailer. And depending on which way it is installed, it'll either have a positive or a negative 5 and a half inch offset. The wheel is a sturdy steel construction, has a nice gray powder coat finish over the whole wheel and that goes over an e-coat primer first and it does give you excellent corrosion resistance.
This is a high quality wheel. Meets the D.O.T. Department of Transportation specifications and it is a hub piloted design, which means this hole right here will center perfectly on the hub on your axle. So this hub pilot diameter is 4.75 inches. So when this is put on there, because of it being a hub piloted design, you do not need the bevel or the champers around the lug holes.
So that means it'll require the 5/8ths inch by 18 size flange nuts to install this. And we do sell those flange nuts separately on our website. They're part number 95188 and they're listed on this product page as a related product. Now this wheel is made by Dexstar, so it is made in the USA. The diameter on the wheel, if we take our tape measurer and the diameter's always gonna be measured start it this way, it'll be easier to see, is always measured inside to inside, not outside to outside.
It's inside to inside. So if we get our tape measurer and if we go inside to inside, there you can see is your 16 inch diameter. The width is gonna be the same way, bead seat to bead seat, so inside to inside and there's your 6 inch width. And the bolt pattern on this is an 8 on 6 and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you want to measure that on a wheel like this, that's an even number of lugs.
There's 8 lugs. It's pretty easy cause the lug holes are right across from each other. So when you go to measure it, all you do is measure from the center of one hole that you pick to the center of the hole right across from it. So on this one, if we go center to center, lemme try to show you here. There's your 6 and a half inch measurement. So that means it's an 8 lug, 6 and a half inch bolt pattern. The offset we talked about, depending on what, if you're using it as an inner or an outer wheel. So if you use it in this way it's gonna have a positive 5 and a half inches. You flip it around to this way it's gonna have a negative 5 and a half inch offset. The pilot hole again, we mentioned is 4.75 inches and the weight capacity on this wheel is 3,300 pounds. Well that's gonna do it for the review on this Dexstar 16 inch by 6 inch dual wheel with the 5 and a half inch offset and the 8 on 6 and a half inch bolt pattern.

Reasonably priced and shipped quickly. I must have done something wrong on my order because I put a different shipping address then billing address and the shipping address never came up. Wish I had checked the first email I received and maybe could have caught it.
rim in picture is not what you get. valve holes are incorrect and cant fit your hand through if duals truly idotic
great replacement option
Dissatisfied.
Next day delivery was ordered 8/15/24.
Address confirmation call from etrailer on 8/16/24 stating wheels were shipped.
Received the wheels at 11am 8/20/24.
So why does it state next day on their website???
Quick turn around and fast shipping.
One of the wheels is used, has dents on bead surface. marks on front that show was mounted to a trailer. rim also has wheel weight on it. Disappointed that a warehouse thought this was ok to ship. Emailed and a replacement is being sent, however the fact that it happened in general and now that I have to pack it back up and ship it out is frustrating
I haven't installed the wheels because I need to buy tires. I did put a wheels on the hub to make sure they will work and they look fine.
I am so glad l was able to find this rim here etrailer. I went everywhere and couldn’t find it. It works great as a spare tire For my motorhome. Donna was excellent helping me finding what I needed. So happy.
Great product great service. well done Jerry
Nice wheel, excellent service. Fast shi pping.
Great job guys, First time buyer but I was very impressed. Very quick and efficient shipping and I love the time table showing where and who performed each step of the process. Very cool!
It had a few minor scratches when it arrived. Otherwise. Everything was great. I purchased the wheel so I would have two spares for my trip to Alaska this summer.
Everything was perfect except for color. We specifically requested white, confirmed we were ordering white, and we received grey. In the scope of things, color really does not matter. We are very happy with product received.
Great fit. Excellent service. I bought this for a spare for my class c motorhome. I ordered a rim from another site only to find out that it didn’t fit after I had a blow out on my RV!
My details: 2013 Jayco Redhawk with a E450 chassis with dual wheels on the back. I have put the rim on and can verify that it fits.
Thanks, Etrailer!
Exactly what I ordered
Does not fit, Had to pay $[XX] to return. etrailer or Ford
info was incorrect
These wheels are what you need to replace your old 16.5" wheels on a Dexter 9k axles. I tried a few other Chinese wheels, and all had a different dish that would hit the brake drum when I tried to run on the inner duals.
Heavy rim and wish it would fit my Entegra but with oversized disc brakes that jam against brake and will not fit…
These wheels fit over my old 12.25" electric drum brakes on my Dexter 9k axles. However, the paint quality is poor. The paint looks chalky after 2 weeks in the sun, and there is rust staining coming from the weld beads. I suspect these wheels will look like the ones I removed in a year or less.

Sorry to hear about your experience with the rim, Jon. The valve stem hole should be .625". Are you able to check what the size is on the one you got?
