Will the MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan MA00-04002K Operate Half Open?

Question:
Hello, I currently have a small tear trailer with plans to install a rooftop tent to it in the near future. Due to the tent being overhead, I will have limited clearance underneath for the vent/fan configuration to open. I am looking at the Maxxfan plus and Maxxfan deluxe units, with the manual lift option. Due to my limited clearance, I will not be able to full open either of the units but would still be able to have them partially open. Will either, or both, of these units work to bring fresh air in and exhaust air out if the vent is only partially open? Or does the vent need to be fully open to work? I know the units will act as a Ceiling faninch if the vent is closed which will help but I am looking to be able to bring air in and exhaust air as well.

Hey Cody! The MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat item # MA00-04002K will do exactly what you are looking for. It has a manual lift that you can control from the inside of your tear trailer. The lid does not have to be open all the way for this fan to function.

Hey Cody, how did the MaxxFan Plus work out with your teardrop trailer setup? Did the fan still move enough air when you only opened the vent partway? Your feedback could really help others planning a similar rooftop tent build.
