Question:

I need some advice please. I have a 2015 Ram 2500 4wd Cummins. I would like to purchase some air bags to level out my truck when pulling my travel trailer. My trucks payload is 2,360 36 campers tongue weight - 1130 Does the jounce bumper actually help any inside some of the air bags? Thanks

Great question, Brady!

The jounce bumper inside the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs # AL88289 is basically there so that in the unlikely event that the air bags give out, your truck still has the jounce bumper to fall back on.

So hopefully the jounce bumper feature is something that you never have to experience using - Air Lift just wanted to add that extra safety feature is all.

In addition to the LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate, I also recommend checking out the Air Lift WirelessONE Tank Kit # AL67DQ because it gives you a quick and easy way to monitor and adjust your air bags, plus it comes with the tank so you'll have ready access to air when you're out camping.

Thanks for getting back to me, another question: Would the Air Lift 7500 be better for my truck? I saw where it said the 5000 is for light pick up trucks and 7500 for HD trucks.

@BradyS The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate # AL88289 will work just fine for your setup, but you can also upgrade to the LoadLifter 7500 XL Ultimate # AL57589 to give you more flexibility in how you use the air bags. I personally think using the higher rater kit is the better way to go, I just tend to recommend the standard kits because most people don't "need" the higher rated kit.
